Oxford-Berlin Workshop in Old Norse-Icelandic Studies
Identity in Old Norse Literature and Culture

This workshop, funded by the Oxford-Berlin Research Partnership, aims to promote co-operation between Oxford and Berlin, centring on concepts of identity in both medieval and modern contexts. The workshop will be led by Professor Siân Grønlie and Prof. Dr. Lukas Rösli, with six participants at graduate, ECR and faculty level from each side. The workshop will explore a range of themes including memory, religious belief, queerness, neurodiversity and intersectionality and consist of a combination of lectures and workshop sessions in addition to a visit to the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin.
