The works of Norway's first female industrial designer, Nora Gulbrandsen (1894 – 1978) are today considered to be among the most outstanding objects of functionalist and art-deco inspired porcelain in Norway, and they are exquisite examples of the famous Nordic design. Fredriksen and Heiberg present many of Nora's known and unknown sketches in their lecture. Through a description of her life, her working conditions, how she made the sketches and what function they served, the public are given the opportunity to experience the sketches as independent works of art. The artist couple Kari Skoe Fredriksen and Odd Fredrik Heiberg curated the exhibition and wrote the book “Nora G.” (2015) revealing and analyzing the sketches of Norway’s first female industrial designer, Nora Gulbrandsen (1894 – 1978). Kari Skoe Fredriksen and Odd Fredrik Heiberg both work as visual artists, curators, project managers and mediators.
