The ways we can think, talk about, know and shape futures - between humans and more than humans, environments, places, nature and systems - is crucial for grappling with processes and actions for future planetary survival. The focus in this lecture is on roles of language and narrative in exploring and realising activities of making, learning and knowing in an anticipatory, relational frame. Examples are given from the FUEL4DESIGN project (http://www.fuel4design.org/)
